S1:E9 The foods you should be eating...
We'll frame this discussion around the Mediterranean Diet this week. A panel of health experts annually looks at all the current diets. And what do ya know, they usually rank the Mediterranean diet as #1! Here's a link in case you're interested in reading more: diet report
This diet rocks because it's more of a general eating pattern and focuses on including nutritious foods, rather than excluding lots of "bad" foods.
Here's some of this week's tips all gathered together just for you:
-Follow a plant based diet by incorporating more plants! Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and plant-based fats (avocado in particular).
-Plant-based diets are jam-packed with nutrients and ALLLL the good stuff.
-"Plant-based" can make some people panic. Just take one step at a time and sprinkle in more plants here and there.
-This "diet" doesn't ban or exclude any foods. It's more about including healthier foods, so you'll be able to sustain this long-term!
